|Bauhaus, Nouvelle Vague and ..me
I am going on the firiday night to see Bauhaus...is anyone else? Or am I the only non_Saturday person? I just saw Nouvelle Vague last weel at Canal Room...great show. They mix my love of new wave, bossa nova and french girls all into one band. Their cover of "Too drunk to Fuck" is my fave I think.
As for me, I have a three month run of shows, Thursdays @8 at the Magnet Theater coming up. I'll post a more accurate schedule as there will be a couple of weeks I'll have off.
Went up to Cape Cod and Nantucket and had a great time. I stayed most of the time in Hyannis. They have this brit-style pub that had a great assortment of brews. I finally got to try O'Hara's, a Guinness type stout from Ireland that was great. One night whilst imbibing there they had a Dj spiining old-school reggae which I rather enjoyed even if no-one else in the place besides the DJ knew any of the songs. Or, heck, even the genre of music.
Anyone esle go anywhere this summer?

Weird, but as I was setting up plans for my trip to London in August, I was watching all the horrors that occured yesterday. I've been to England and Scotland but never don to Londontown. I bought tickets to see Iggy & The Stooges at the Carlings Apollo and am very much looking forward to it. Is anyone else going? Any thoughts on itineraries?

|Did you ever get so tired...
That you are constantly dizzy and even your hair hurts? Thats where I am at. Fell asleep in the same position that I threw myself down on the bed and woke up in that awkward sprawl too. And I am going to the MC5 show tonight. Anyone else going? I should be loads of fun. prob. get drunk off one beer. I saw Bowie and the Violent Femmes last week. Both great shows. Been playing baseball. Been working OT. Arghh.
On the interesting side, I took up comedy again. For the first time since Paris and Malibu were blaring their beautiful music into the night. I had stopped after one particularly horrific night of bombing. So I of course took up improv at the Upright Citizen's Brigade. On level, two, done some shows and having fun. Nothing too horrific this tim, so far.
How is everyone's summer so far?
drop a line.

Well, my brother has invited me to the playoff game, and right now it is what, 9 degrees out? I can't imagine any more fun than sitting outdoors for 3+ hours today. Perhaps I can be the crazy topless guy who gets on camera, then is rushed to the hospital imm. afterwards.

|Happy New year
I was quite the sober gentleman on New Years, I went to see the Return of the King and have some sushi(mmmm, sushi).
However, right now I am drunk on Guinness and wild turkey and all is right with the world!

|A little Update
Well, I am absolutely useless at this thing. Unless once a month is considered a well-kept journal.
What have I been up to?
I went to a baseball clinic in Peoria, Az, called the pro-ball clinic. It's for normal guys to get coached by real major league coaches. Much fun was had. I was gone a week in sunny AZ, and it's always a great group. Their website is www.pro-ball.com.
What else? Oh, my car has been in the shop for a month now. Just some body work. But a month? C'mon it wasn't in that bad of shape(was it?) . So that left me going to LI to see the fam on thanksgiving via the L.I.R.R. Joy!
Right now, I am listening to "Don't Bring Me Down", and watching the snow fall. Soon to get up and play some foosball.
